Student Recital 2024

In June 2024 the students of Melis Mazmanoğlu and N. Cansu Yıldırım performed the pieces they had worked on all year for their families and friends. With its carved wooden panelling, stained-glass windows and painted dome, the hall made a warm and rather special setting for the occasion.

Students of different ages and levels took their turn at the grand piano. In one piece Melis Mazmanoğlu joined a student on the flute, and the confidence that comes from making music together on stage was felt throughout the hall.

Performing is a valuable experience in a child’s musical education. Months of preparation come together in a few minutes on stage, and what stays with children afterwards is the confidence those minutes give them.

At the end every student received a certificate of participation, and we gathered on stage for a group photo. The applause of that day carried us into the following year’s work.
